Expertise Extracting Within Online Shared Workspaces

چکیده
We present an approach for identifying people with expertise in certain areas from online research-oriented shared workspaces in three steps: a) Content analysis of stored documents (mainly scientific deliverables) within shared workspaces; b) Log files analysis; and c) Assigning relevant expertise to users using dynamic SPARQL queries.

Extracting and Utilizing Social Networks from Log Files of Shared Workspaces
Log files of online shared workspaces contain rich information that can be further analyzed. In this paper, log-file information is used to extract object-centric and user-centric social networks. The object-centric social networks are used as a means for assigning concept-based expertise elements to users based on the documents that they created, revised or read. The usercentric social network...
متن کاملA SIOC Enabled Explorer of Shared Workspaces
Shared Workspaces are getting more and more popular in helping people collaborate. However, it’s difficult for user to search information across different Shared Workspaces since they are currently islands that are not interlinked. Based on semantic web technologies, SIOC provide ontology and tools to interlink online communities. By using SIOC to develop an explorer for Shared Workspaces, we m...
متن کاملThe Role and Identification of Dialog Acts in Online Chat
In recent years, online chat has become a dominant mode of communication. This text-based medium has the potential of improving information awareness within an organization, but only if the critical information within messages can be identified and directed to where it is most needed. Such a goal has many challenges that traditional Information Extraction (IE) approaches have rarely addressed: ...

Knowledge about the static and dynamic situation is essential for joint workspaces of human and robot. Surveilling the joint area helps to realize a collaboration and co-existence of human and robot. Therefore, we propose in this paper a system that redundantly monitors the workspace to perceive obstacles within the workspace including the human worker. We use multiple, distributed range sensor...
متن کاملMultiple Workspaces as an Architecture for Cognition
In this paper we describe insights for theories of natural intelligence that arise from recent advances in architectures for robot intelligence. In particular we advocate a sketch theory for the study of both natural and artificial intelligence that consists of a set of constraints on architectures. The sketch includes the use of multiple shared workspaces, parallel asynchronous refinement of s...
